- Warehouse Floor Reflects Antique Car Collection
An empty warehouse gets a shiny polished concrete floor that provides a clean, reflective surface for a dozen mint condition, antique cars. The floor was finished in the natural color of concrete so that the color wouldn’t have a negative effect on the color of the cars. An 8” epoxy border was added around the outer edges and around the columns of the building to frame it in and make a nice transition from the concrete floor to the walls.

- Eco-Benefits of Polished Concrete Chosen for Elementary School Floors
The concrete floors of an elementary school in Kirkland, Wash., were first colored using a dry-shake color hardener, then the surface was ground down. The floor was buffed, creating a permanent shine. The surface was chosen because it resists shoe scuff marks and stains. Also electric lighting needs were reduced due to the light color and reflective nature of the floors.

- Carpet Removed and Floor Gets New Life
On this remodeling job, the concrete floors had been hidden under carpet for years. The carpet had been tacked down instead of glued, so it presented some challenges for polishing the chip outs from nails in the concrete. After grinding, dyes were applied for color.Next: Get ideas from the polished concrete photo gallery
